Affiliate Program

Affiliates can use a private or company Website for generating additional income with very little effort, simply by recommending mirabyte products. For every sale that was generated by a visitor of the affiliate's Website, a commission paid. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us:partner@mirabyte.com

How does the mirabyte affiliate program work?
The idea is simple: You promote our products on your website and earn a commission for every sale that was generated by a visitor from your website. Apart from integrating affiliate links into your website there is nothing else you have to do.
In order to become an affiliate, please create an affiliate account first. Once you have signed up we will activate your account after a manual review. You will be informed by e-mail as soon as your affiliate account is active. As our affiliate you have access to detailed statistics and account statements at any time in our online Affiliate Center. You can always view the success of your sales online. The orders and payments are handled by our partner cleverbridge AG. Monthly payments to you will be made by check or bank transfer. In the Affiliate Center you can generate links that need to be embedded on your website. Three different link types are available that are described below:

• Buy Link: Use this link type to directly link onto a shopping cart. This type is only recommended if you e.g. do an e-mail campaign or describe our products in detail on your website. Usually visitors of your website will not directly buy a product they do not know.

• Cookie (transparent pixel): This link type generates a link to a 1x1 pixel transparent GIF file that you can embed on your website. When the image is loaded by a visitor’s browser, a tracking cookie is set. Once this user buys the specified product on our website, the cookie is recognized and you are credited as the affiliate who generated the sale.

• Cookie (redirect link): We highly recommend this link type. It works similar as the transparent pixel link type. You can define a URL that refers to our website (e.g. the product page). If a visitor of your site clicks on the generated link, a tracking cookie is set and the user is redirected to the actual URL you specified (our web page in this example). Once this user buys the specified product on our website, the cookie is recognized and you are credited as the affiliate who generated the sale.

We recommend using the Cookie (redirect link) type for integration in your website. Here is how such a link on your website could look like: This link will behave like a normal link to "http://www.mirabyte.com/en/products/discstarter/" but a tracking cookie for your affiliate account ("X" is replaced by your affiliate account ID) will be set so that any sales generated by visitors from your site can be tracked.

How much will my commission be?
For each order placed with us via your website, we will pay you a commission of 20%! If a visitor from your Website e.g. buys one Discstarter Publishers License (price: 500 EUR + VAT) you receive 100 EUR (+ VAT) commission from a single transaction! For very successful affiliates we offer even higher commission rates.

What can I do to generate more sales?
Simply placing an affiliate link on your site is in most cases not enough to really successfully generate sales. We encourage you to provide information about our products on your website, e.g. by writing reviews or short articles. Keep in mind that you have to convince your visitors to purchase a product. A good resource for helpful information about our products is our online press room. Here you can download screenshots and pack shots of our products as well as an HTML factsheet with descriptive texts in various lengths. Please feel free to use these resources on your website. mirabyte Affiliate Anti-Spam Policy
mirabyte affiliates are not allowed to use UCE (unsolicited commercial email), also known as "spam", to promote their mirabyte affiliation. Affiliates are also prohibited from using advertising tactics which involve taking information from users' computers, a.k.a. invasion of privacy. Any member of the affiliate program who violates this policy is subject to have their mirabyte affiliate program membership revoked. If you know of a member who has used UCE to promote the mirabyte’s products, please notify us. Be sure to include the affiliate's webpage URL and a copy of the UCE email message for our review.
