Do I have to reinstall the software from scratch when an update is released?
When a new update is released (normally you will be informed by e-mail), you can download the latest version from our homepage in the customer account section if you are eligible to obtain free updates & support.
You can simply install the new version "over" your current version. All settings and configuration will remain.
Please remember to update both the players / kiosk devices as well as the management PC with the FrontFace Assistant because the new (same) version needs to be installed on all systems where you use the FrontFace software!
If your current installation is stable and the features of a new release are not really important for you, it is not required that you install every update. You can also skip updates.
It is also possible to automate/script the installation of the update. For more information about this and the available command line switches for the setup, please see the user manual.
